The "Analog Only" Rule: Pick one hobby that requires zero screens. Sketching, hiking, or even building LEGOs. Force your brain to engage with the physical world.
The "Bad at It" Permission: We are so pressured to be "experts" that we don't start anything new. Give yourself permission to be a total beginner at something for 30 minutes a week.
Active vs. Passive Recovery: Watching a show is passive. Playing an instrument is active. Active recovery actually restores your cognitive energy; passive recovery just delays the fatigue.
The 20-Minute Block: You don't need four hours. 20 minutes of a hobby is enough to break the "doom-scroll" cycle and reset your dopamine receptors.
